What is Ask the Analyst?

Ask the Analyst is a new service that has been developed alongside Lloyd's List Intelligence to give you direct contact with our team of over 60 global analysts.

You simply contact our analyst team via the form on the Ask the Analyst page, provide a brief summary of your question / request and the appropriate analyst team will respond to your query.

How quickly will someone come back to me?

We attempt to reply to all queries within 24 hours. We will make an initial assessment of the length of time your query will take to complete and then contact you accordingly. Lloyd's List Intelligence analysts generally work UK office hours (9am - 5.30pm Mon - Fri).

However depending upon the urgency of the request we can call upon our global network of analysts to answer queries outside of these times.

Who is entitled to Ask the Analyst?

Subscribers taking a site licence to any channel are entitled to 20 hours of Ask the Analyst time.

How frequently can I use the service? / What if I use up all my hours?

There is no limit to the number of times you can use the service during your subscription, although once your allotted hours have been used up your account manager will contact you. Each query is allocated a minimum of 15 minutes, there is no maximum as it depends upon the nature of the query. You can check how many hours you have used at any time by contacting your account manager or the Ask the Analyst Administrator.

Can I phone in my question?

Unfortunately due to the nature and volume of requests we are unable to take Ask the Analyst requests via telephone at this time. Instead, please use the query form on the Ask the Analyst page.

If an analyst needs to discuss your query then they will contact you either by phone or email.

How many analysts do you have? Who are they?

Each of our channels has a team of dedicated experts and a senior channel editor who oversees both the content and data to ensure its accuracy and integrity. In all we have over 60 in-house analysts specialising in sectors, companies, markets or very specific data sets. Some of our principal analysts and experts include:
